The National Youth Summit was held in July 2006 at Beaches Resort in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos and involved the participation of 150 children from high schools and upper primary schools throughout the country.
Guidance counselors and teachers from each school acted as chaperones and also took the commitment pledge to work closely with the young people when they go back to their various communities and schools. The summit is held every two years to prepare young people for leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS. |
